Don't Forget Faith set for step up in grade

25th September 07

NEWMARKET DEBUT scorer Don't Forget Faith is poised to be stepped up in class by connections.

The Victory Gallop filly shaped like a very talented prospect when marking her racecourse bow with a head success at Headquarters.

The Clive Cox-trained filly has taken her race well and is bow being prepared for a stiffer assignment.

Her co-owner Simon Hope said: "We were thrilled with her debut at Newmarket, which confirmed what we'd all hoped - that she was a very exciting prospect."

Clive is planning to step her up to a seven furlongs next with three Group races under consideration. There is the Sweet Solera back at Newmarket on August 11, the Prestige at Goodwood on August 26 while there is a French option as well.

"If all were to go well in her second race, we'd like to have a shot at either the Fillies Mile or the Prix Marcel Boussac to conclude her two-year-old campaign."
